Ubuntu upgrade to 12.04: system crashed Hello all, thanks again for your support. Pressing the function key repeatedly to go to the boot menu worked. But then I only had the option to reinstall 11.10 from the CD again. So I did not succeed to upgrade to 12.04. I will now stick to the old version for the time being. |

Ubuntu upgrade to 12.04: system crashed The computer does not try to boot from the CD. There is indeed a message during startup to choose BOOT MENU with a function key (don't remember which one), but the computer does not respond to that. |

Ubuntu upgrade to 12.04: system crashed Thanks for your reply. "Nothing" happened during upgrading. The computer just stopped the installation of the upgrade. It got stuck in the middle of the process and I had to reset the computer. I will try your suggestions. |

Ubuntu upgrade to 12.04: system crashed Thanks for our reply. I inserted the CD, but it doesn't start. Is there a Linux command to 'manually' start the CD? |
