comment How do I fix the HDMI/DVI display output with Intel HD 4000 Graphics in 12.04?
Ubuntu doesn't have an xorg.conf file by default. you can create one with sudo xorg --configure and then move it to the correct directory sudo mv xorg.conf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/

comment Does Ubuntu come with disk partitioning in the installer?
Could you clarify your question a little more? What exactly do you require for partitioning capabilities? Ubuntu can automatically install itself alongside Windows, or you can manually adjust/create partitions. All of these capabilities have been addressed in other question/answer pairs here, but I'm unsure which ones to best point you towards. Thanks!

Also please add exactly what problems you are having with the HDMI/DVI output(s). Are they not working at all, working partially, being buggy, or what? The more specific you are the more likely you will get a helpful answer.

What kind of graphics card do you have (HMDI and DVI are usually routed through the graphics chipset)?

open a terminal (either open the dash, type terminal and click on the icon or press Alt-F2 and type gnome-terminal and then hit enter) and type amnesia and hit enter. the game should start, but you'll have the terminal in the background outputting the errors.
