Wireless Connected But No Internet Connection (Ubuntu 12.04) I have already pinged to my gateway and provided its output at my question: root@ghostrider:/etc/resolvconf# ping 192.168.1.3
PING 192.168.1.3 (192.168.1.3) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 192.168.1.3 ping statistics ---
19 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 18143ms
I tried dhclient but nothing happened:
root@ghostrider:/home/zero# dhclient eth1
root@ghostrider:/home/zero#

Changing file permissions problem Thank you for your help. But I caused a misunderstanding because of the reason that I forgot to add that I am trying to edit resolv.conf file on my beaglebone which is operating angstrom. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. If you still have an idea and share with me, I will be appreciate to you. |

Java installation problem It does not seem possible to me that the downloaded file is corrupted. I tried it from three different mirrors too; but nothing changed. |

Why can't I install Ubuntu or Wubi on a dynamic disk? (“The request isn't supported” from bcdedit.exe) I do not use any kind of antivirus programs. I have only windows' firewall. However it is also blocked. Therefore I do not think that my problem is related to a firewall issue. |

Problem with scp syntax I tried to pass the numeric IP address as follows (again I think I did something wrong with the syntax): canserhan@embserv:~$ scp ~/tar_files/rtl_archive.tar 2xx.1xx.1x.8x However, it created a directory named 2xx.1xx.1x.8x and copied ~/tar... to that directory. But when I did ls 2xx.1xx.1x.8x it said no such directory and also it let me delete that directory. I did not understand anything. If that directory have never existed then how come I could delete it? Was is something like a temp? Also I could not solve my problem by using -3. How can I fix my ssh setup on embserv? |
