Chrome install failed on ubuntu 12.04 to be honest I did not try 64 bit version of Chrome because - from what I remember - the 64 bit version does not (cannot?) integrate flash (I mean, the flash version bundled with Chrome). Though I just stumbled upon this superuser.com question about "Flash player not present in Chrome on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bits" and it seems that the solution for flash support in chrome 64 bit is to install flash through the ubuntu repositories/software center |

Chrome install failed on ubuntu 12.04 @Mik I can confirm the problem: - fresh installation of 12.04.1 done today in 64 bit version - downloaded chrome 32 bit deb package at www.google.com/chrome/ - double clicking on the deb file or launching dpkg - i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb fails with the error dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of google-chrome-stable:i386:
google-chrome-stable:i386 depends on xdg-utils descibed originally |

How can I programmatically change the keyboard layout? And for X, you should try set-language-env -l fr (for French), see set-language-env's manpage |

How can I programmatically change the keyboard layout? To do it globally and keep the setting across reboot you have to reconfigure the console with sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-data. If you are adding a new language to a, let's say, english-only system, you may have to launch sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales before (and maybe edit /var/lib/locales/supported.d/local, see this post) |

Architecture diagram explaining the Ubuntu Cloud Infrastructure with MAAS / Openstack architecture? Maybe a first step would be to list what is the role of each 10 machines of the Ubuntu Cloud Infrastructure deployment with MAAS and Juju: 1) MAAS server 2) juju bootstrap node (Juju uses it to coordinate the services being deployed) 3) mysql 4) openstack's rabbitmq 5) openstack's keystone 6) openstack's nova-cloud-controller 7) openstack's nova-volume 8) openstack's nova-compute 9) openstack's glance 10) openstack's openstack-dashboard. |

Architecture diagram explaining the Ubuntu Cloud Infrastructure with MAAS / Openstack architecture? Note that it's mainly the "cloud" part (with OpenStack) which should be described. The fact that MAAS is a PXE deploying server on steroids and that juju is used to deploy charms (one service per node) is pretty straightforward. But what OpenStack brings with a distributed storage for cloud - see OpenStack Object Storage: An Overview for example - is another story: this is what should be described by a diagram. I hope my question is more clear this way. |
