gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=3939 . of course, it requires that your monitor also have a DVI port.

Sounds like the onboard sound is integrated to the HDMI output. You could buy a HDMI to DVI/audio splitter I think, which might work, if such a thing exists.

Not recommended. I tried one of those images, and although it worked, it was in Italian. I changed the language on it, but it was a hassle. Also, the VM tools needed an update to VirtualBox 4.0 drivers.

comment FTP access to the files of Guest Machine of VirtualBox from Host Machine
Hmm... you might be able to solve it by using a SSH enabled FTP client. Once it burrows a SSH tunnel using your admin user (who has access to all files) then it can connect to the FTP service internally on the machine. The important point here is to use a user account with the proper permissions.

comment How to enable a user to login through FTP?
I think that once VSFTPD is running locally on the system then security can be implemented by not opening the VSFTPD port but instead having clients use Filezilla in FTPS mode to connect to it (via SSH port 22) .

By the way, you also have to enable the TCP listener service on port 1433 on the windows vm because its not enabled by default. also, you might want to enable the default "sa" account to use for development authentication. also, make sure windows firewall allows incoming 1433.
