Ubuntu 12.04 Can not remove directory yeah, chkdsk do the job. I started chkdsk which told me about offset errors on the disk.I started again the windows in safe mode and the folder was not there. Got it deleted. But how did this happed, that still is a point. It was malware as I found out later |

Ubuntu 12.04 Can not remove directory I have updated my answer and yes it is an NTFS drive, the folder nane is DC48CCC40D3C963E0000DC47F0809ABC which is causing problem. looks like a hardware issue to me |

Unable to install Ubuntu by USB maybe i think your METHOD to make USB bootable with linux on it is not proper. I have seen some problems like this when the USB is made bootable by UnetBootIn .Try Universal-USB-Installer. Does that solve your problem? |

What key to press to get to the BIOS and change boot sequence on a Dell desktop? maybe pressing f2 might solve your problem.it will rather give persistant changes |
