I bought my first PC nearly 30 years ago, running the amazing DOS 3.0, and with an amazing diskspace of 20MB. People said I wouldn't be able to fill all that :)
In 1995 I was one of the first Dutch users of Windows 95 and made a short sidestep to OS2.
Tried Linux once or twice but didn't particularly like it very much at that time.
Then, I think about 4 or 5 years ago, I returned to (K)ubuntu Linux and sticked with it. And I'm glad to say, it's here to stay.
I love to figure out stuff that doesn't exactly work the way I think it should. It may take me hours to figure things out. It may take me days, months or even years to do that. But mostly I will figure it out and things will work the way I want them to. It's a computer, and it should only do what we tell it to do. Nothing more, nothing less...
