I have been messing with Linux since I was 10 years old. I plan to become a programmer. I am interested in many related Open Source projects like Android, Firefox, VLC, X.org, Gnome, Unity, Xfce, KDE, and Open Graphics Library (OpenGL). I am also interested in conspiracy theories and projects like The Zeitgeist Movement and The Venus Project. I hope to meet Linus Torvalds some day.

if linux kernel came with all the very latest drivers, it wouldnt weight 500mb, it would weight around 9-11 gigabytes

How do we know that the drivers that came with the kernel are not barebone. they are good enough for your computer to run, but its not good for gaming

comment Installing X.org (opensource) Ubuntu driver in the terminal
it didnt install (update) anything because t thinks i have a locked proprietary driver placed in my system. i need to manually install the driver rather than using apt-get or update manager
