comment How to use ubuntu as a bluetooth headset to the mobile phone?
None. For the moment I just accepted the fact, that Ubuntu ain't a microphone... ;-) I hope someday someone finds a way how to do it.

Cool. I built a whole /etc/subuid parser exactly for this purpose...

There is also a ~/.steam directory to remove. It contains EULA and some symlinks. Delete that too.

comment How do I setup an encrypted swap file?
@muru On Ubuntu 14.04 there is no need for such script. If I recall correctly, the early booting scripts parse the /etc/crypttab for a line like cryptswap /dev/sda5 none luks and asks the user for a password autmatically

comment How to let built-in DHCP assign a static IP to LXC container based on name, not MAC address
Restarting the service lxc-net is only needed to let the dnsmasq use configuration from /etc/lxc/dnsmasq.conf (and this piece of information is present in the /etc/default/lxc-net which is unknown to the dnsmasq). If you had it set before, just another SIGHUP should suffice.

I like the idea of delegating list of hosts to a external file. Besides that, your method differs from mine because of the killall -s SIGHUP dnsmasq. I agree, that just "SIGHUP-ing" dnsmasq is more efficient then restarting the whole daemon (especially if it doesn't work without patching its upstart scripts).

comment Mount and access similar BTRFS filesystem
I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question. It looks like a bug on part of btrfs. If I were you, I'd ask on the btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Btrfs_mailing_list (and if you do, please post some feedback here as well!)

Just mount. If the volume is not part of btrfs raid (which I have no experience with), the volume should mount just fine. And as you mentioned, all subvolumes will be accessible too. You can get a list of them with sudo btrfs subvolume list <path inside the mount point>
