@Freedom_Ben Thank you for the suggestion. I'm going to try to downgrade back to 12.04 (due to other issues, not related to wifi). I will update this question with more information after the downgrade.

@Freedom_Ben It happens with this new one only (D-Link DIR-855L). Before I had DIR-655 and Ubuntu 12.04. Unfortunately, can't test with the old router anymore...

@NoBugs: I enabled Apport and rebooted the station but it looks like no crash log was created (no /var/crash was created)
