What's the best, simplest OCR solution? @Vassilis: OCR systems are language independent because they recognise characters, not words. However if your alphabet has not-Latin1 characters ( like cyrillic ) then it may miss those. |

What terminal-based network speed tests are available? TCP Stream Performance The TCP stream performance test is the default test type for the netperf program. The simplest test is performed by entering the command: /opt/netperf/netperf -H remotehost which will perform a 10 second test between the local system and the system identified by remotehost. The socket buffers on either end will be sized according to the systems' default and all TCP options (e.g. TCP_NODELAY) will be at their default settings. |

What would be the most practical way for a web developer to develop on Ubuntu but test on IE Sure, why not? But if each developer wants more freedom you should deploy more Virtual Machine ( on the same phisical machine also ) one for each developer. |

Even without that feature you can use Remote Desktop application to do the job. @txwikinger: not always true, a tinyclient is not always a 'desktop' (i.e. an Ubuntu-desktop installation) but may be a simple computer with minimal hardware and minimal system ( e.g. with no hard drive ) |
