There isn't a whole lot I'd put in a any profile on the net. Been doing "the Linux thing" since the early nineties when it came on diskettes (some of you remember those days... you know who you are). Since then I've watched the Open Source movement grow and degenerate into anarchy. I do agree with some of the ideals of Open Source, but have since realized that people actually do need to earn a living, and that software development by committee or even community is NOT the best thing since sliced bread. Usually, the best development starts in the Ivory Towers and later filters down to the masses, making the best open source projects those that started within a company or even in a lonely basement/bedroom, with one dedicated individual hacking away to bring life to something without it. Linux/X11/Lesstif are really great examples of starting in the Ivory Tower and moving to the masses. And as a final note, hope the GPL3 dies a quick painful death in favor of BSD/MIT/GPL2 or frankly any other license that doesn't commit outright theft of property just because some posted some nice code and wanted to save a little time.
