If I post something erroneous please tell me so I can fix it and learn from the error.

I'm currently developing a voxel game called Mosstest in Java as a learning exercise.

I can be contacted by email at obsessivefoss@gmail.com, if one is interested in my work. Please do not email asking for help.

comment Media Players breaking the videos
Often, high-resolution videos(especially in H.264) have severe stuttering and video arfitfacts on older machines, while sound is unaffected. What type of CPU do you have?

comment Removing Ubuntu
If you install Wubi, it installs it side-by-side with Windows. You should be able to boot Windows and remove it.

comment Ubuntu 64 Bit not working acer p253e
Just as a clarification, modern computers are 64-bit, but 64-bitness doesn't generally relate to being dual-core, as one can have a dual-code, 32-bit machine, or a single core with 64bit computation.

This is off-topic here, as this site is only about Ubuntu.

Ah, I see. I'd recommend you visit the post Luis Alvarado linked.

Why not use ad-hoc WiFi? It's considerably simpler, and requires less finicky setup.

Is there a limit to virtual terminals? What will occur if there are more inactive user sessions than TTYs?

No evidence for the aforementioned.

comment How to read/mount a .gz.dd image file?
Is it gz.dd, or dd.gz? I'd expect the latter to be more common.

@Vreality It's a new law in the USA.

comment Deluge bit torrent. No incoming connections?
@Vreality Pardon that little mistake. Anyway, even if you are using P2P for downloading a Linux distro, certain ISPs seem to ignore that fact, and still mail you an irate letter.

@qbi From a glance, this has nothing to do with the software center.

@fossfreedom I unfortunately hit the character limit, but IMHO I bring in a fresh mind with a new set of eyes. I easily adjust to new situations, such as moderating Ask Ubuntu, and in a matter of days, can adjust my mentality to being impartial. I also often visit and post on [meta.SO] and I feel as if communicating with other moderators, especially those with more experience, will be my first step to learn, as well as the moderation guides carefully constructed over at MSO.

I see that you've contribited many good ideas as answers to meta. I think that you should also start asking more, to learn, and to get the community as a whole to think.

Of course, I have a good courseload, but with the way my classes are distributed, I can find a good half-hour to hour each day, except every other Friday, and a few odd weekends here and there. With that said, I might be performing multiple tasks at once (such as checking on the flag queue while a CompSci assignment compiles).

comment Should I install programs from a source tarball (`.tar.gz`), from the Ubuntu Software Centre, or from elsewhere?
@vasa1 This is regarding tarballs, since Apt and dpkg will check their databases, not the filesystem, in determining whether a package is installed. You can always use checkinstall to work around that.

comment How to I connect a raw serial terminal to a bluetooth connection?
Can you draw up a quick diagram? I can't understand whether it's serial over or bluetooth over serial, as well as who's passing on the data to where. Just do it in GIMP or something and upload it here
