What's wrong with PHP 5.4.6 and what can I do about it? I tried removing PHP and mod_php completely and compiling from source. I've tried both PHP 5.3.13 and 5.4.13. The situation is still exactly the same with all versions. The problem likely isn't directly with PHP at all, but perhaps with Apache. I'll keep testing. |

What's wrong with PHP 5.4.6 and what can I do about it? It's not just a flabby script. The same operations in the CLI, as well as on a different server with PHP 5.3, take only a fraction of a second. Currently on this server, the script runs for almost 4 seconds before running out of memory and crashing. |

I'm not sure if you're actually insinuating that PHP needs more than 128 MB of ram to fetch a couple of rows from MySQL, because that would be retarded. In any case, I increased the memory limit to 512 MB of ram, and now PHP just crashes with a segfault instead: [notice] child pid 2076 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) |

So what you're saying is that anything newer than Transmission 2.33 isn't compatible with the stable releases of Ubuntu, so I can't have the features I need from Transmission 2.51 without upgrading to a newer version of Ubuntu which will most probably break most of the other applications I'm using. That's just **** great |
