comment USB 3.0 port with USB 3.0 device in Ubuntu 12.10
Which feature has 3.6.6 that beats 3.5.x? Is there any repository available? Or do I need to compile it?

comment USB 3.0 port with USB 3.0 device in Ubuntu 12.10
@EnesKuray, the USB 3.0 device works in windows 7 and windows 8. I have edited my question. Here is more information: "A USB 2.0 device will work in the USB 3.0 ports. A USB 3.0 device will work (at USB 2.0 speeds) in the USB 2.0 ports. The problem, as I wrote, is between USB 3.0 devices and USB 3.0 ports."

Have you tried installing "mesa-utils" package? If you are using the integrated card it should be recognized.

comment How to EFI install Ubuntu?
I installed the Gnome Remix flavour. First, I configured my Bios to boot in UEFI mode. In second place, I booted from the usb in UEFI mode, and, while the disk image has an error (the live loader points to a non-existing vmlinuz.signed file) I edited the grub commandline to point to the correct one. Next, i formatted my Hdd to a GPT system and installed ubuntu gnome.

comment How do I get AMD/Intel Hybrid Graphics drivers to work?
I had tried it on a HP g6 (Radeon 6470M and intel HD3000) and there were problems when initializing "aticonfig" it seems to be that some libraries where not found in /usr/lib, (I have installed all the packages described above), so update-alternatives seems to revert to the previous option and the Xserver does not start.

I cannot help you then. By the way, in the live cd you can test how the system has benn boot dmesg | grep -q "EFI v" # -q tell grep to output nothing if [ $? -eq 0 ] # check exit code; if 0 EFI, else BIOS then echo "You are using EFI boot." else echo "You are using BIOS boot" fi

comment How to EFI install Ubuntu?
I am not sure about your first comment: If you set your BIOS boot option as default, (in my Asus, and also in HP notebooks at least), the system is going to boot the old way. Also, booting with EFI enabled has two possibilities: booting with or without 'legacy' mode for (un)signed OS. I had a similar problem with Ubuntu 12.10 Gnome Remix, which disk image had not a signed linuz file.

Dear LovinBunt, I don't fully understand your answer. Will not be the windows boot file located in /boot/efi? Which is the reason for the "sda2" size reduction? Will the "Recommended Repair" option put the desired uefi file in /boot/efi? Thanks again

Finally I had to re-create the partition table, so I lost the windows 7 partition (and all the drivers). I have also checked your app and is very useful! I would take into account for future uses
