comment How do I make my application startable from the terminal?
Yes, that is what I expected. I prefer to create a link to my 'script.sh' in /usr/bin/. But I still don't know how to do it.

comment How to achieve 'Activities' in Unity?
After giving several desktops a trial, I found out that I can achieve it with Unity by grouping my apps on different virtual desktops and hibernate the notebook instead of shutting it down. This solves the problem of restarting the apps because of hibernating they will run again after the next boot. Over time you get used to what app is running on which virt. desktop. In case you need an overview, just use the Spread-View (Super+W) or die Expo-View (Super+S).

comment How can I submit an App to MyApps that is already in a PPA?
Ok, I can submit a dummy file. I don't understand what you mean with 'ARB' and '/opt/extras.ubuntu.com/'. I would just like to benefit from the extra pieces that MyApps gives me like a screenshot of the application which I never managed to bring into Software-Center the 'old-school' way. But I want to avoid that anybody breaks my existing PPA.

Now it works. After a while, the synced folder appeared also on Computer 2 and Gnote files are perfectly synced between Computer 1 and 2 via Ubuntu One.

Thank you for that detailed answer. It is actually exactly as you described. I can also see the synced folder on the Ubuntu One Webpage. So far so good, but what shall I do on Computer 2 to access the synced folder? It is not visible on Computer 2. Seems that only files from the 'Ubuntu One' folder are available on a second computer.

My question is rather related to Ubuntu One than to Gnote. I just want to know how a synched folder can be accessed from another computer. What I wrote about Gnote is just an example where this Ubuntu One access would make sense.
