comment Unable to compile 32 bit Qt 4.8.6 libraries on 64 bit machine
Then, I'd suggest creating a 32-bit chroot and compiling it within there, if you really must build 4.8.6 from source for some reason, and installing libssl-dev:i386 is not satisfactory in terms of dependencies.

Also, you didn't say what version of Ubuntu you are on, but qt4 4.8.6 is already included in Ubuntu 15.04. The current development version also has 4.8.6 for qt4.

You must install 32-bit versions of libraries and their -dev packages, to be able to compile against them.

comment Ubuntu 14.04 logs user out at random intervals
Please clarify which Ubuntu flavor you are actually using, if it's Ubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, Kubuntu, etc… Also, please clarify what video card and drivers you are using. This sounds very much like a bug that is causing Xorg to crash, rather than you being "logged out."

That is all well more information than you provided in the question. I suggest you edit your question to more clearly state what exactly you are doing, and what exactly the errors are.

comment installing pango and dependencies?
Why are you trying to compile GTK+? It is installed by default as well. Though, to compile things from source, you will need to install the development packages required for the libraries in question. Generally, these are named libfoo-dev and similar.

Lubuntu or Xubuntu might work ok.

comment Ubuntu-sdk-fails to launch in the emulator
If you want help, you're going to have to provide detailed information in your question about what exactly what went wrong, and what steps you actually took. Linking to a page for the documentation of one of the QML components isn't going to tell anyone what's wrong with your own code or emulator.

comment installing pango and dependencies?
It is already installed as part of the default system on Ubuntu. Are you trying to compile something from source which requires Pango's development files to build?

@bodhi.zazen So? The question does not clearly state so. If that is the case, then one should state so. And even then, it's still a duplicate of "how do I install windows apps on Ubuntu?"

Photoshop is not available for Ubuntu. It's also not free. You have to buy it to get the disc to install it from.

I can't read the text in your very tiny screenshot, can you please post a full size image of the window? However, it also sounds like this is a bug in the SDK which needs to be reported. You should obviously not have useless error messages. You should be able to check the "Compile Output" or "General" tabs at the bottom of the SDK screen though, to see what the tool output to the command line.
