comment will running ubuntu from a live usb key affect my windows 10 installation in any way?
@DavidFoerster The OP seems to be asking if running the LiveCD causes any unexpected modifications to Windows partitions whereas the other question is asking whether intentional changes to the Windows partition are persistent.

comment How to check if someone has access to my laptop remotely (ubuntu 15.10)?
Do you use the same password for other services? Do you have two-factor authentication enabled for your account? Do you use a proxy? Have you used any other device to check your email?

comment !Help! Allow another user to access partitioned drives on Ubuntu 15
Just to clarify: mounting a partition always requires root (unless you are mounting a filesystem with FUSE). This act (mounting the partition) is completely independent of the permissions of directories on the partition. It is possible, however, to have a partition mounted at boot by editing /etc/fstab.

comment Linux commands to use Windows bootloader instead of Grub
This changes the entry that is highlighted by default in Grub. It doesn't change the bootloader.

comment Why does Python in Linux require the line #!/usr/bin/python?
@CharlesGreen the old format that was used for Word documents (.doc) included a magic header that confirmed the filetype - just like the MZ at the beginning of executable files. The format that Word now uses (.docx) is basically a ZIP file with a different extension.
