i used that whenever working with tor to set proxy, but know i don't use that and the proxy is set to none. but the etc/hosts file is as follow: 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 HPCU # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback fe00::0 ip6-localnet ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix ff02::1 ip6-allnodes ff02::2 ip6-allrouters

comment How do I install Adobe Acrobat Reader?
Why would you need adobe reader? Evince document viewer works perfectly in ubuntu and it do what you can do in adobe reader and more, it supports PDF, Postscript, djvu, tiff, dvi, XPS, SyncTex support with gedit, comics books (cbr,cbz,cb7 and cbt) and it is installed by default on ubuntu 12.10. So don't bother yourself installing adobe reader.
