I develop audio and music software. I started Teragon Audio, and have produced a number of AU/VST plugins, hosts, and other tools. Although Teragon no longer exists as a commercial entity, its code lives on and I have open-sourced most of the plugins, which are available on the Teragon Audio github page.

comment Multimedia keys do not work with Spotify
@joseeantonior it is definitely working for me (version 0.9.10 on Ubuntu 13.10). Sometimes however they stop working, when this happens I usually restart the client and they work again. What distro are you using?

@LiveWireBT ah, ok. fair enough, I guess your initial comment mode more sense with the first answer. :)

@LiveWireBT this is a solution -- installing the native client will work much better than the Wine one.

comment Ubuntu 13.10 isn't remembering my passwords anymore, why?
Thanks for the good answer, but ultimately the solution to this problem was much easier (see my answer below). Is it possible that using the passwd command didn't set the login password correctly?

I don't see the login password there, only my SSH password and PGP one. Also, seahorse isn't installed in Ubuntu 13.10 by default, I had to apt-get it.
