I regularly visit Stack Exchange to help out people with their questions and help maintain the community. Located in Belgium, I am studying Computer Science at the University of Antwerp.

When I think a post can be improved I will try to do so by fixing grammatical or spelling errors, clarifying meaning without changing it, correcting minor mistakes, adding related resources or links. For the less obvious things of those I will leave a note in the edit, click on the date to see this.

I will only edit content in posts once, and let the author or other users be free to choose to rollback; when there are opposing views, we can raise this to meta to let the majority decide which revision of the post they want.

This will be done with respect of the original author and when I'm sure enough that it would only improve the post, if you need to contact me then you can e-mail me at the following address:

Or if you have enough reputation, try to send me a message with @TomWij on the Super User Chat where I am usually when I am online.

Have a nice day! :)

If this awesome dinosaur doesn't make it, there must be something wrong with the voting system; I vote for you!

Your profile shows me that your activity has 48 actions for the 1 year and 3 months you have been a member, which means that you have done less than one action per week. Why should I vote for someone that was never really around here and suddenly pops in with a "I'll post some more information when I feel like I have the time" type of message? Read the first sentence on this page which states On Stack Exchange, we believe the core moderators should come from the community, and be elected by the community itself through popular vote., this isn't noticeable in you if you don't make the effort.

comment How do I prevent Firefox from crashing constantly?
@fedeisas: Searching for install instructions for them and simply following those, I'm not an Ubuntu user myself but just telling you what I'm seeing and think it could be. Good luck! Don't forget to add extra details and things you already tried to the bottom of your question so people get to read them...

You don't understand, I'll ask it otherwise: Are you trying to host a SVN Repository or just use one?

Erm... Don't you need the client instead of the server version? Start with sudo apt-get install subversion, then, do you already have Apache 2.2 if you really want the server version?

comment How do I prevent Firefox from crashing constantly?
@fedeisas: Please note that you need to use the @-syntax in order to reply to people. In order to be able to troubleshoot the crash you need to install the Firefox debug symbol files and obtain an actual stack trace...

Can you please provide more information? What subversion client are you installing? What command did you use to install it? Or did you use the package manager?

comment How can I contribute to Ubuntu?
@Shubh: No, questions can't be turned CW by non-moderators, not even the author.

@Shubh: Only moderators can do that, I flagged the post for that reason. :-)

comment KDE, GNOME, XFCE, Unity, ad-nauseum… Can a GUI app run in X without any of these?
To give an example: Using X11-over-SSH and Xming I can use Eclipse on Windows and have everything compile and run on my Linux installation, that by just installing X11 and nothing on top of that.
