comment How do I use the “no border” option in Compiz?
Thanks, but I was referring to an option in the window menu (under Advanced in KDE) which hides the window border for that specific window. I don't want to hide the border for all windows.

comment Packages go missing after bootup and certain indicators don't seem to install anymore
I got the sound indicator reinstalled, and by some stroke of luck I got the network indicator back. See my update in the OP.

It seems that this is a hardware feature. Why not get a cheap USB keyboard?

@Seth This is obviously a n00b mistake. Look again at the screenshot. This isn't a duplicate.

Thanks, but you didn't completely answer the question. 1) What package do I need to install to get the network manager indicator back and 2) still... any suggestions on Bluetooth?

comment Garbage in primus with nvidia bumblebee on Trusty
One thing I do instead of using primusrun itself is use optirun with the primus bridge (set in bumblebee.conf). I seem to get better results doing it this way.

I agree with @Takkat completely. You did not give us enough information about your computer and what your problem is. BIOS version doesn't really help here. Thanks for trying. Please take this over to Super User where they will be able to help you better.
