comment Adobe Flash not working
Unfortunately I have broken something. I tried to uninstall Chrome in the Software Centre with the intention of reinstalling (working out of the box as you indicate), but I get an 'Unhandled Error' - There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry.

Thanks Lekensteyn. I read about KDE 4.8 in Linnux Format mag. and it looked good. But as I'm fairly new the idea of debugging does not appeal. Will try Kubuntu when it's settled down.
