comment What is mapping fiber channel upon install of 14.04?
Sorry for the late response here. When I look, multipathd is not running on the box as a process. I'm assuming this is running from the kernel somehow (as a kernel driver)?

yes. multipath is running. When I show an lsblk, it gives me all of the drive names (sdd, sde...), and even breaks it down to sdd1, and then shows the dm-X partitions underneath it. Part of this problem is that I don't understand multipath well, and what it does. So I don't quite know what I'm doing here. But from what I see, all of the stuff in /dev/mapper shows up when I run lsblk.

comment how to change Alt+Tab window highlight color in Unity 2D
i just got to looking at this. guess i wasn't specific enough with my question. i'm looking to change the color/border around the actual windows of the program i am highlighting, not the icons within the launcher window. say i got 10 terminal windows open, spread across 4 screens, plus google open on one. if i am trying to alt+tab to the terminal window on the same screen as Google, i don't really know when i've landed on it. the quick launcher window is just showing 10 terminal icons. so i don't know which is which. i want to change the color that outlines the actual terminal window.
