Ubuntu 12.04 How do I bind the “scale” and “expo” features of compiz to my Logitech Performance MX? This is perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Works better than xbindkeys and xdotool. |

Manually set up icons in Unity Dash to big It can depend on the file type of the icon--for some file types, the dash won't do any re-sizing, so you could end up with a huge icon spilling over into adjacent spaces. That doesn't really seem to be the case here, though. Maybe edit the icon to add a transparent border? |

A music player that can handle multiple artist tags I actually already had Quod Libet installed but I had never really used it. Thanks for the suggestion! |

Maximizing speed on hybrid drive Yeah, I'd rather not do a re-format... Do you know if it works across partitions? |

Outsource the /boot onto a SSD Does the hard drive still manage data across partitions? So no matter how you partition the drive, the SSD will contain the most-accessed files? |

Sound not working after 12.04 install I had a similar problem. I tried changing the alsa-base.conf file, but with no luck. What did work for me was adding snd-hda-intel to the end of the etc/modules file, as recommended here: ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1961136 |
