User of Ubuntu since 11.04. Currently running 14.10. Amateur CLI geek. Interested in Javascript and, to a lesser extent, Python and Java.

That's an Iguana, not a lizard. And yes, there is a difference.

You should support the Vi/Vim proposal!

Random quotes...

Don't blame me. I'm an interpreter. I'm not supposed to know a power socket from a computer terminal.

Okay, so it seems like the problem is a great library for generating PDF files with PHP.
So almost true...

Cat: We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.
Alice: How do you know I'm mad?
Cat: You must be. Or you wouldn't have come here.

comment Fixed wireless then bluetooth stopped working
Ehhh... iirc Gwibber is core. Matter of fact, I wouldn't recommend removing any of those. I would re-install all those apps and then see if Bluetooth works. If it does, proceed to uninstall all the apps again from the terminal, one at a time, noting which packages and libraries they remove along with themselves.

comment Firefox won't work. Locale not supported by C library
Oh, I'm sorry, it should be export DISPLAY=:0 not EXPORT DISPLAY=:0 my bad.. You will probably get the same locale error, but not the "display not set" one. Let's tackle one error at a time ;)

After installing a display server, what is the error message now? Did you try exporting the display afterwards?

Hmm. You probably need a display server installed then (the server doesn't come with one, and firefox needs one). I'm working on the C library problem too. On my server I used sudo apt-get install lxde for a display server.

Did you install Firefox on a fresh server install? Firefox needs a display set to run and default server installs don't have one. Try running EXPORT DISPLAY=:0 before running firefox.
