About

Truth be told, I like coding. I like learning new skills everyday. I believe this empowers me to build things that can solve real-life problems. Ever since I was a kid, be it a barren patch of land in the lawn outside my house or a broken tool to be mended, I would use my mind to make that patch green and find ways of fixing the problem. I think as a full-stack web developer, I get the sense of satisfaction from the fact that I get to solve real-life problems in my job.

Many would have believed that with a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering in hand, I would not have fared so well in the IT industry. But, eventually I gained interest in Application Development when I took up Core Java as my basic skill. At that point of time, web applications were taking over desktop applications. This made me venture into the world of web application development. My first tryst was with AngularJS. From there on, I have never looked back. One after the other, I picked up Spring MVC one day and dealt with the newer faces of Angular with the advent of ECMAScript 6 on the very next day. Now I work on applications written in ReactJS on the frontend and Spring Boot (Java) in the backend. Sometimes, as a devops engineer, I like to stitch the pieces (say, microservices) from build to deployment using tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker. I am even AWS Certified Developer Associate. In a few words, I can say, I am a polyglot now.

I have worked with almost all the popular frameworks in web application development universe. Working with different kinds of team during my time (over 7 years of industry experience) at Wipro and then, at Fidelity Investments, and now at Western Digital, has made me capable enough to write a book on being a developer in a traditional waterfall model to a fast-paced modern agile development environment (Spotify Model).

My ultimate ambition is to keep solving the worldly problems through my skills and while being at that, keep learning new skills every day.

In the dictionaries of star wars, I want to be Yoda. And above all, May the force be with all of us!
