What is the wireless USB adaptor name? When it gives permission error, then you should try to do with sudo.

@GauravSharma You might want to write this as a separate answer with all the detailed steps rather than writing it as just a comment here.

Have you followed that question completely? Though you are not using windows 7 it do not make a 'great' difference. It does make a difference but not significant. You can still follow that post to resolve your windows 8 issue.

Then most probably you have accidentally deleted Windows 8 while installing Ubuntu. You might want to try supergrubdisk.org to check if it detects windows 8. You have to burn it to usb pen drive or CD. Use dd command in terminal dd if=/path/to/isofile/supergrubdisk.iso of=/dev/Xda where X is the name of your pen drive. Use fdisk -l to know name of your pen drive.

Windows and ubuntu in two different disks ok. Was the ssd mounted ( or connected and accessible) while you exucted command osprober?

That probably means you do not have another operating system on that machine. That means your windows has damaged. Also when you repeat the command and get the exact same output you do not copy paste the same output again and again you just type that you are getting the very exact same output as you got in first attempt. Was the windows working fine before installing ubuntu? Downlaod supergrub from here supergrubdisk.org burn it to usb drive or cd and then boot into live mode and see if it detects your windows. If it does detect the windows try to boot into windows.

Wait. Do not post the same comment again and again. Read the manual for os prober. It should show an output similar to this: os-prober /dev/sda5:Ubuntu 12.10 (12.10):Ubuntu:linux

Go through this link on your own risk. wiki.debian.org/Keyboard#Set_Keyboard_Layout_in_initramfs But I dont think lvm offers to use keyboard layout other than US. Its not possible. If you are a developer you might wish to contribute this feature. Follow that link only if you know what you are doing. It may cause software failure or data corruption.

You can not. It uses standard US keyboard layout.
