Can you boot from the Live CD, and start Disk Utility to see if the rest of the data is really unallocated?

@LuisAlvarado: Thanks, I edited the answer, I think I will contact someone from the xbmc community to see how I can set System.CanPowerDown=false. That would be a nice alternative.
