“Please ensure you have JAVA_HOME points to JDK rather than JRE” message You should have .jinfo files, but I have updated my answer to set the update alternatives without them. |

Sublime Text console call not returning until it's closed There is no problem with your installation, to achieve what you want run subl & this will launch subl in the background. Alternatively, if you already started subl you can do CTRL+Z to suspend it, and then bg to let the job run in the background. To bring to the foreground again, do fg. To view all jobs running in the background run jobs.
By the way, why do you launch it from the terminal? |

Why are downloads from Canonical Partners repository so slow? This deserves more upvotes! My download speed went from 40 to 800 KiB/s (the max on my connection). |

Does Microsoft Office 2010 still have incompatibility issues with LibreOffice I linked a question to this one as possible duplicate, but the OP had a point that these answers might be out of date. Can we update this question? |

LibreOffice 4.03 compatibility with MS Office 2010 docs Probably the other question should get an update ;) And I'm not glad to know that it hasn't changed much :P I am hoping that one day they will be compatible enough so I can ditch Microsoft Office for good! |
