comment Arduino Uno not recognized, /dev/ttyACM0 doesn't exist
I've had some success adding a udevrule for my Arduino explicitly. Mine (for nano is SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idProduct}=="6001", ATTRS{idVendor}=="0403", SYMLINK+="ttyArduino%n" and creates /dev/ttyArduinoX. There must be a similar rule for Uno?

comment Arduino nano doesn't connect correctly on boot up
I assume you mean a delay in the Arduino program? Since the /dev/ttyArduino0 doesn't come up, I don't think my PC can connect to the nano. (It receives a signal from my PC to toggle a pin.)

To be clear running gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons true fixed my issue. From linked question's answer.

Default rule in main UI for both incoming and outgoing is "Allow".

comment Using Gufw create rule to reject traffic from specific subnet
Testing the rules seems to work. My concern is that it blocks traffic outside the designated range.

comment How to add bookmark to Nautilus 3.6?
Not having to edit a config file is what using Ubuntu is all about! :) They could have made it more discoverable in UI though.
