comment How do I add a relationship between two charms to pass information between them?
You may wish to open a new question with updated details and examples of the hooks, since this is moving forward

Make sure you've upgraded or redeployed since you added that to the metadata, otherwise that is the correct format

@Sajith4U Please paste both of your metadata.yaml files in to paste.ubuntu.com and link that here

comment Example Wordpress content from github missing for juju charm
There's an example repository here: github.com/marcoceppi/wordpress-demo I'm not sure who changed the example URL, but as the maintainer of the charm it wasn't me

You're currently running 1.18.1 when the latest stable release is 1.18.3. Try juju destroy-environment, upgrade juju on your machine, then bootstrapand deploy again.

I don't think this applies. Machine 0, the users machine, is trusty and can do both precise and trusty

It would be better to have the user setup squid-deb-proxy to properly proxy the PPA on the MAAS controller node.

Perhaps that's the question you should ask

comment How does the javascript WebApp integration work?
You want to develop something similar to Ubuntu WebApps, but just because you use it as an example doesn't mean that's what it's about. This is probably splitting hairs, but the community seems to disagree about this being on topic

This is something better suited for StackOverflow

Even better would be to apt-get source php5, change the compile line, increment the version, upload to a PPA

Have you tried running the installer in compatibility mode with Windows 7?

comment How can I deploy my local Juju Charm with Amulet framework?
@AlexPrismakov that is the correct way to do local repo deployments, yes.

So, it helps if I read my own code. You should still launch the python interpreter from the CHARM_DIR, but you'll also need to either set this environment variable prior to launching the interpreter JUJU_TEST_CHARM=cf-nats or, after instantiating amulet.Deployment, set d.charm_name to cf-nats. I'll update my answer with this.

Also, the charms on github in github.com/charms are really out of date. The sync mirror hasn't been running for quite a few months while we update the charm store. You may want to pull your charms from Launchpad going forward.

Interesting, I've not tested Amulet with trusty, though that should work just fine. It appears that deployer is the one complaining. Could you paste the output of d.schema() before you run d.setup()?

What version of amulet are you using?

comment Is anybody using juju for mission critical apps?
Questions can be posted here, but the author may or may not be following on Ask Ubuntu. It's best to post bugs against the bug link on the charm page or email the maintainer directly.

So you're right, some of the charms are really poorly documented. We're in the process of a huge audit of the charm store which will include, among other things, updating the READMEs for all charms currently in the store. Rabbitmq-server is currently being worked on so this will include making sure it conforms to charm store policy, updated readme, and tests

comment How stable is BTRFS in Ubuntu?
FWIW, I know this is anecdotal, but I've run btrfs for quite some time in a RAIDed setup without issue.
