See askubuntu.com/questions/25596/how-to-set-up-usb-for-virtualbox - if all that worked it may also be an issue of the guest OS.

comment Real-Time Volume Leveling & Audio Outputs
Yeah the docs are really really short. I am sorry to not be able to say more than what was written there. As long as the results are fine it may not matter much but to find out exactly what they do we'd need a lot of experimenting.

For the newest release we need to install VirtualBox from Oracle, it is not yet available from the Ubuntu resources.

For me using just the Brother installer script (not the DEB packages) always worked without an issue. See my answer here for steps I took.

The "screen dumps" you are getting are messages from the system designed to give you and us an idea what went wrong. They usually contain valuable hints on how to solve your issue. You should therefore not ignore them but read them. In case you did not understand an error given there please edit your question to include it.

comment How to install a Brother HL-1110 Laser Printer?
It should be the same as shown in my answer to the network printers - just leave out the network parts while running the Brother "Driver Install Tool". You will have to run it in a terminal, there is no graphical installer available.

comment Computer restarts over and over after upgrade from ubuntu 14.04 to ubuntu 14.10 on dualboot windows/ubuntu
That's good news... :) Time for backups if not yet down. Then you should shut down Windows without hibernation/fast boot to then install Ubuntu 15.04 alongside. If it does not offer an "upgrade" option then you should "Do something else" to avoid formatting of the partition that holds your HOME (untick format). Also take care to not partition/format your Windows partition. If there were important data without a backup available on the Linux partition you may want to copy them to a safe place from the live CD, provided the partition is readable.

@MichaelVietluzhskih: I really have not the slightest idea on the Windows 10 side. I only know that you may not be able to do this from Ubuntu. You have to get to where you can boot Windows to shut it down without hibernation.
