comment Unable to view/connect usb devices to a virtualbox guest from ubuntu host
See askubuntu.com/questions/25596/how-to-set-up-usb-for-virtualbox - if all is set up correctly you should see USB devices such as USB keys, printers or the like. Test with these first and report if they failed.

comment My internal hard disk has 615 bad sectors and it has no Os installed in it. what should i do to remove these bad sectors and install ubuntu on it?
See askubuntu.com/questions/128501/… in case you want to take that risk (which I do not recommend).

comment How to find my administrator details when I can't even see an administrator account
Actually in your specific case, and if you do not have any specific reasons for sticking to an old unsupported release (13.10), I'd recommend an upgrade to a newer release (e.g. 14.04) which will be more of a re-install rather than a distribution upgrade anyway. Take care to not overwrite your HOME directory (do not format the partition it is on). Create another additional emergency admin user account on installing, then re-create your old user account which should automatically point to your old HOME in case you gave it the identical name (if not you could change this later too).

comment using /home/user/music on two different Ubuntu installs on the same machine
You may want to have a look at ACL: askubuntu.com/questions/52584/shared-folders-for-all-users or askubuntu.com/questions/14765/…

comment Is there any dsp solution for ubuntu
Would an LADSPA filter (e.g. of the Steve Harris' set) suit your needs? See askubuntu.com/questions/194281/… and askubuntu.com/questions/43950/… for how to use them.

comment VM Resolution can't go over 640x480, even after guest additions were installed
To see if the video-driver was correctly installed with the guest additions open a terminal in the guest to issue lsmod | grep vbox. It should say vboxvideo. If not you may have to re-install them.

comment Stream music from ubuntu to XBMC
There really are many options for this - one being Rygel that you apparently already have running. The perhaps easiest way for me was running pulseaudio-dlna, a rather nice DLNA server which sets up any renderer as a sound output device. It works great with Kodi as a renderer.

You need to install the Guest Additions in the virtual guest OS.

comment How can I install Kubuntu on a Virtualbox with a dynamic hard drive?
Your issues likely came from something else but not from using Microsoft VHD instead of Virtual Box VDI format.

comment How can I install Kubuntu on a Virtualbox with a dynamic hard drive?
Your answer may cause confusion, as there you clearly show all steps needed to install Ubuntu in Virtual Box which makes it an exact duplicate to the question I linked. Using another virtual hard disk format is possible but not recommended. VHD is a Microsoft format which is supported but it definitely does not work better than the Virtual Box VDI format.
