comment my disk is full every hours because of /var/log/
First: to find the malfunctioning program. Invoke ls -lS /var/log; it will list the files in /var/log with the largest files at the top. These will probably be the trouble files.

comment How can I resolve repeated package dependency error involving ' wine-staging-i386 '
Try a sudo apt-get update and then the previous command again? All we really know is that you installed something, and then the package manager is giving you that error.

Doesn't look like $KDEHOME/autostart exists... the other two are scripts that do not mention the project folder

~/.config/autostart is a folder with three files in it, none of which have any line with the project folder in it :s

comment How can I resolve repeated package dependency error involving ' wine-staging-i386 '
Can you include output of sudo apt-get -f install? Sounds like you installed something weird from a PPA. And what do you mean by "wine package via a dependency from a package"?

comment Is it possible to use Active X?
You shouldn't need ActiveX in Ubuntu. Read: askubuntu.com/questions/3481/… Which sites are you trying to access and what do they specifically request?
