I am a lifelong computer user, but growing up with computers (I still have fond memories of loading games via DOS) I took the technology for granted. I never really learned about computers -- I've just generally been a slightly more advanced user of them. Now I would like to take what I've learned as a user and fill in the gaps of my knowledge about what's really going on, and how I can use that gained knowledge personally and (with some luck) professionally.
