comment “Language support” icon missing in System Settings
In my case installing the im-switch package removed the language-selector-gnome package. Maybe they can't coexist together.

@DoR I had to install that package, after that the "Language Support" icon appears again! I think the cause was the im-switch package. Can you post your comment as an answer so I can accept it? Thanks

comment Can't boot Ubuntu or Windows 8 after Ubuntu 64-bit install on Samsung series 7 Windows 8 laptop, error “All boot options are tried.”
A comment in that bug report says that the fix is in the 3.10-rc6 kernel, so today I updated the kernel to 3.10-rc7 without problems (so far).

I finally booted Ubuntu with Secure Boot off and UEFI Mode. And there I run Boot Repair, so now I'm able to dual boot. Thanks a lot for the links.
