Suggested Scheme Interpreter/Compiler for Learning the Language? Trust me, it would be closed in 2 minutes on StackOverflow, or at least that has been my experience. This will be used on an Ubuntu (12.04) machine if it matters. |

What IDEs are available for Ubuntu? It does have quite a learning curve however. My first encounter with it was a shock; an editor that does not allow you to edit! I have since discovered the 'i' key but more importantly the :wq keys. I have since gladly moved on to emacs with which I am much happier. |
