How to fix kernel update problem? It would help if you would post a log of the whole transaction; usually this upgrade works out great though. Please check if you have the appropriate meta packages installed (linux-image-generic, linux-headers-generic). |

Why am I getting a login prompt after installation of ubuntu 12.04.1? Are you by any chance using the server edition instead of the desktop one? |

How can I get add-apt-repository to work? This is rather an error about Certificate Verification than Network Connectivity. Does the mentioned file /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt exist? |

Uploading an HTML5 app to the Software Center I suppose you had to package it to be dpkg with compatible. For better reference see developer.ubuntu.com/packaging/html. |

How to create an FTP account for one folder? At login time? Have you changed the users homedir to /srv/ftp_folder? Can you verifiy this in /etc/passwd? Have you restarted vsftpd after changing the homedir? |

Need to repair or reinstall Ubuntu 12.04 without losing programs or data Something that'd be fixing file permissions, as in resetting them to their default dpkg state, would be awesome. |
