As you can see in the title I'm interesting in automatization (downloading the most recent deb packages for my platform/distributive) the process not manual download.

As far as you know, ppasearch is a command-line util. I have headless Ubuntu server without any GUI.

comment Install Ubuntu Server to a flash drive, permanently
To be truthful I wrote this not only for you but for me too, and I know I will need LVM in future. And with LVM you can use snapshots so its quite useful.

In case once you will need to copy entire system to another flash drive but it will be slightly smaller (or bigger, why waist space), what will you do? dd will not help. So LVM (or something like that) is the future for *nix systems, it will be easier to maintain your system in the future.

Is nautilus-dropbox should be running in Graphical-mode only? Or for headless servers it will work as well?

comment How do I recover my root password?
The only way to view encrypted password is to decode it. You can try, encrypted passwords in /ets/shadow file but you'll just waste your time.

Ha ha. Are you joking? Encryption for passwords invented to protect them from viewing. You cannot just view it but you can change it without viewing old one.

I mean sort of "Wear-leveling". Aufs will help you to save your USB FlashDrive. Actually FlashDrive become read-only and all writings/changes will be stored in RAM memory.
