comment Is it preferable to boot from an SD card or from a USB flash drive?
I also wanted to mention, I prefer using a class 10 UHS-I SD Card. The Chromebook only has those two USB ports, and only one being 3.0, so I felt it was best to keep them free.

I was reading that booting from the ARM Chromebook USB 3.0 had some sort of problem in the past. I wasn't able to find any good recent info though, so might want to test it out.

comment What's the difference between the various printer connections?
@waspinator: I want unsecured connections, under certain circumstances, for example HTTP. I also prefer some unsecured connections on my LAN, specifically when security requires unacceptable complication or overhead... Assuming the service is only available from inside my LAN, and nothing confidential is transmitted over-the-wire. However when security doesn't impose significant complexity or overhead, then I would prefer the secured connection.

comment How do I port a .FON font to a Linux font?
@LimitedAtonement: SFD is Fontforge's native file-format, analogous to Gimp's native XCF. You must export the font from Fontforge, to get the final product. SFD files are great for saving a work in progress, I would also recommend you save one right before your final export. So if you ever need to go back, as creating correct PSF/PSF2 is not trivial, you won't need to recreate all your work.

comment How to change the fallback font for missing languages?
@Clay Smalley: your answer doesn't attempt to address the OP's question. Essentially you didn't let something small, such as lacking knowledge on the subject matter, dissuade you from posting an answer. In this situation, less is more..., or preferably, just post a comment.

comment Installing μTorrent
@user606723: rTorrent is lacking many modern client features. This is without regard to interface, just client capabilities. I've been really happy with transmission-cli, it's both modern and lightweight.

comment evolution mapi for thunderbird
I'm not surprised in the slightest, which is exactly my point. The users want it, they've been asking for it for practically a decade, and all the excuses in the world don't scratch the truth. They just aren't interested, and they were never truly interested.

You would think Thunderbird would have implemented MAPI support, at least for just email support. I mean how many years has this been already? I bet this has been on the wish lists for a decade.

comment Are there any GUI man page editors are available?
Docbook is the best format for creating documentation. Once your Docbook file is completed, it can be converted to a multitude of formats. XHTML, Man Pages, etc ...
