comment Using Unity with i3-wm
Canonical wants to bring Unity 8 to the desktop anyway, right? If so, it no more really matters what you can do with Unity 7 because it will sooner or later be incompatible. It would have been nice, but maybe someone will simply build a Unity-independent HUD and / or fuzzy-search application launcher like the Unity dash somewhen :)

Yes, that's no problem either. I don't know which version and look of gmusicbrowser you are using, but for me, it is just selecting an artist from the first of the three top columns [, then clicking an album] and afterwards selecting the filter. With the little play button between the three top columns and the track list below, the filtered tracks are all copied to the playlist. I'll make a screenshot so it's clearer.

comment Upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 through ssh
The message 'kvm disabled by bios' is nothing to be worried about. At least if your computer boots up normally, just ignore it.

comment GtkSourceView in Glade and C++
Did you create the file yourself? Why don't you use glade for that? Besides that, the object type "GtkSourceView" has to work, it is what glade writes into the file when adding a GtkSourceView in it. Perhaps the problem is not the glade file, but the code you use to build a UI from it. But for questions about that, you should better use StackExchange or the gtkmm mailing list.

comment gnome3: Which program do I use to set an icon for my user account?
If you are using an older version of gnome than I do (I've got 3.8) it could be that some bits are different, but afaik there weren't so many changes on this since gnome 3 departed.

comment XMPP Support in Ubuntu Touch
Do you know libpurple? It's the backend which Pidgin uses. But this has nothing to do with Ubuntu touch. You can use every existing library working under linux for a Ubuntu Touch app.
