comment I can't make my Windows 8 boot loader to run Ubuntu or even ask me which OS to run as dual boot!
I originally had 7, then installed 8, then formatted to get Ubuntu on it. I don't know the details of what partitioning table they all use :P I i believe you're statement is mostly correct.

No, I had Windows 7 reinstalled, then formatted drive and installed Windows 8, Both 64-bit, and also Ubuntu was 64-bit. The link you provided was not helping as I didn't have any problems while booting, but to install the OS.

comment Where to install bootloader when installing Ubuntu as secondary OS?
As to a note, I accepted this answer as it probably would be a proper solution for such problem, although, I encountered another problem that made me unable to choose proper device as I described here: askubuntu.com/questions/219640/…

comment 12.04 Taking forever for no apparent reason
Well, can you get to updates or terminal from Ubuntu desktop and install updates? Or you might want to try live installation which would download everything you might need for your PC.

Does this happen after you do fresh install of Ubuntu? After you install all necessary updates? Have you even installed updates/drivers etc? Have you installed anything and after that those dots appeared?

You need to install C/C++ compiler. to do so you may use this terminal command: sudo apt-get install build-essential. :) Then try installation again.

comment How to update Windows Phone from Ubuntu?
Virtual machine is a big no in my case. My Ubuntu PC have a hard time supporting virtual boxes and it runs so slow that it freezes. The live Windows distribution seems like a nice solution.
