My name is Christian Vielma. I'm a Computer Engineer from the Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela.
I'm a person who like to do the right thing every day. Aristotle one day said "We are what we do dairly. So, the excelence is and habit and not an act". I truly believe in this.
I like to share with the people I most care. I have good sincerely relations and that's what I want (i think is better quality than quantity).
I also like to travel and photography. I'm concerned about enviromental problems and I try everyday to do something to prevent such problems. It's hard to change the habits that so long have been with us but I realized that is for the best of all. I'm not even close to become a great philanthropist but I really take serious the phrase: "Think global and act local" to make little changes in the world.

No login screen after logout It seems that you might have a problem with your Graphic card. Which is your graphic card? Also you can try pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1, login in the console there and type: sudo init 2. Then go back with Ctrl+Alt+F7 and you should see the login screen. This is only a workaround, there must be an issue in the configuration. |

Why does Windows 7 overall performance is better than Ubuntu 11.10? Are you using Ubuntu 64 bits or 32 bits version? because I have experienced a lot of performance problems with 64 bits version... |

Cannot add movie file to Pitivi Hi, can you provide the versions of Ubuntu, mplayer and pitivi? Maybe you could try enabling the restricted sites of the repositories. You can see this similar problem: askubuntu.com/questions/66811/cant-play-mkv-files |

Trying to install Ubuntu 11.10 on an old PC does not load Ubuntu Hi Gabriel, first try to load that Ubuntu CD in another computer to discard the optical drive. Also, if your sister's computer allows booting from USB you could try that option too. |
