Desktop issue with Gnome Ubuntu 13.04 Glad it's working for you... Nemo is far better for me. |

Desktop issue with Gnome Ubuntu 13.04 Maybe I'm misunderstanding your request, but see my screenshot with Desktop icons showing: schiffpartners.com/Selection_218.png I normally don't show these, but I dragged a couple of Desktop config files from ~/.local/share/applications to my ~/Desktop folder and they appear on the desktop no problem. |

Desktop issue with Gnome Ubuntu 13.04 I have a similar environment and have chosen to use Nemo, because I too hate Nautilus. Check this out: noobslab.com/2013/05/install-nemo-file-manager-in-ubuntu.html |

How to Update Java for use with Chromium on 13.04 It appears that Chromium has got it wrong... if I go to java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp "Java was blocked because it's out of date" it tells me that I have the latest and greatest. |

How should I set up a FQDN and Intranet Sandbox 12.10 Server that won't be public forgive the dumb question, but should I use your examples literally? |

I want to install 12.10 Clean but Retain Home from 12.04. Do I need to create separate Home partition? I don't have enough room on my main drive to make a copy of home, so I want to backup to USB unencrypted per your suggestion. What's best method? |
