comment shell file to open multiple terminal tabs, change locations, run commands
Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

@chicks - can tmux be scripted? The whole point of this is to not have to open each window/tab/whatever individually.

@chicks - I'm not sure what you mean by "first class Gnome Terminal tabs".

@Wilf - you edited your comment while I was answering. I've been running the file from another terminal window up to this point, although I'd like to have it on a launcher to run on a click for convenience.

@Wilf - yes, Phoenix is a terminal profile I've defined. I can run it from wherever someone tells me is best! Currently the file is in ~/Desktop just to make it easy to find.

comment How do I change options in PAM configuration?
Thank you. I figured out the arrows to move up and down, but couldn't figure out what key I needed to change selection values.

comment How do I change options in PAM configuration?
Thanks, but that's not what I asked. I'm not asking for other ways to do this; I want to know how to deselect the selected option in the interface shown.

Download != share.

comment How can I expand all folders while in the list view?
It may be the case that it doesn't take long to do what you suggest. The fact remains that it doesn't answer my question, which was asking if there was a one-click way to do it.

comment How can I expand all folders while in the list view?
That's still not a single step to open them all, though. I have to go through each "top-level" subfolder and click the asterisk to open that subfolder to its next level. I'm looking for a single step that will open all folders to ALL levels. What you're suggesting is exactly the same as the answer I got almost 2 years ago, which is NOT the answer I'm looking for.

comment How can I add an application to the list of Open With applications?
This is an older version of Komodo - it was installed about a year ago, and definitely did not create an icon on the desktop. But it IS already available in the dash, so I don't get why it's not in the applications list.

comment How do I set up FTP on localhost?
Thanks for the links. I followed the process to the letter, but got hung up around 7:26 in the first video - where he goes into the /srv folder to create files for testing. When I try that, it asks me for a password, which I obviously don't have since we haven't gotten to the point of creating accounts yet. (And yes, I did enable anonymous access in the .conf file.) Any idea why that's happening or how to get past it?

comment How do I completely uninstall Google Chrome and Chromium?
Bookmarks are saved in XMarks, so not an issue. I'll try deleting the folder and see if that helps. If not, I'll try the other suggestions. Thanks.

comment What Application Indicators are available?
I'm feeling really stupid, but I can't seem to get this to install. I've added the PPA to my software sources, but what do I need to do to actually install the indicator package?

comment How to hide items in Unity's top panel?
That's a great list, but unfortunately even though the indicator I really want to get rid of is displayed in a lot of the screenshots, it's not one of the ones that's listed as an answer. I'm updating my OP to show what I'm trying to hide/remove.

Thanks. For some reason it didn't occur to me to look there!

Well, I tried it, but I'm not entirely sure what the various indicator names are. Is there a list somewhere? Also, once they are removed, do I need to restart my session to see them gone?

I'll give that a shot. For some reason it never occurred to me it would be in the software center.

comment AWN displaying window icons even when Display Launchers Only selected
@tgm4883 - I'm actually not even using AWN anymore, so this isn't an issue. It may have been corrected in newer releases, if there have been any.
