The hiding animation is too fast, so I get lost.. I always feel like: What in the nine gods did I just click? It also hides fast if I place the mouse above it, so I also have no way of telling which windows are actually open.

comment HDMI and Bumblebee, Washed out Colors and Low Resolution
You can only run HDMI with Optirun if the Nvidia card is already enable before you connect the cable to your HDMI port. Reason is, the port is wired directly to the Nvidia card, so you have to edit Bumblebee's configuration files to do it. There is a guide on the Bumblebee project's git on how to do it. Currently, it is not working out of the box, I warn you.

What is the output of sudo lspci |grep VGA? Are you using switchable ( optimus ) cards?

Alright, I did install Evolution... However, I don't see the to-do thing on the calendar menu. Could you please point me to a way that I can do that? Thanks.

Thanks! @MitchThe option I referred to was the one in the first menu of the live-cd that only installs free software ( as in freedom ). This is something that bothers me about the English language.. in Portuguese, free ( as in freedom ) and free ( as in not paying ) are different words..
