comment How can a gamepad control THE mouse?
Thanks for this. AntiMicro is quite nice. I was able to get my old Sixaxis (ie: Dualshock 3 minus rumble) sending both keyboard and mouse events. Set up is pretty straightforward, and from what I've seen the developer is very responsive to bug reports.

comment Dropbox 3.2.9 ignoring local themes / missing notification icon
Instead of manually adjusting each image you can use the command for i in *.png; do convert $i -background '#000000' -alpha remove $i; done replacing #000000 with the correct color code for your panel. Note that this overwrites the images, so you may want to back up the icons first!

comment 14.04 Not Auto-Mounting External Drives Since Upgrading from 12.04
I don't see how this answers the question. The question isn't asking about mounting at start up. It's asking about mounting when plugging in (note "After plugging in said drives" in the question). Also, I want all USB thumb drives to auto-mount, just like the did in 13.x. I don't want to have to enable a per-drive setting. Nevertheless, I tried to follow these instructions, and the "Edit Mount Options" menu item is grayed out.

comment Where's kprinter in Lucid?
What do you mean "the GUI coming with Ubuntu as default"? I'm looking for a tool that provides a nice GUI for selecting printers and setting print options to applications that just expect to be able to pipe PostScript to an external command. That's what kprinter did, and it was great until it vanished. gtklp also does this, though the UI is nowhere as nice as kprinter. BTW: you should use at-replying in comments if you want the person you're talking to to get a notification. It took me almost a year to see your comment because I didn't get a notification about it.

FWIW: I filed a bug about this: bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/665297

Strangely, I have not seen the dialog appear again. That opening a settings dialog and then dismissing it without changing anything would actually alter the behavior seems like a bug, but at least it appears to solve my problem. Thanks.

Thanks. Is there an alternative that's better than gtklp?
