comment Why should I go through the purchasing process to install a product priced $0.00?
If you see the linked bug report, you would notice the issue is yet to be fixed.

comment Why doesn't removing “recently-used.xbel” clear my “Recent” folder?
My apologies for hastily closing. So, you don't want to disable but just simply clear it whenever you wish? It seems like clearing it is not perfect. See Nautilus 3.6: How To Clear The Recent Files List (Or Disable It).

Guess what? You haven't Googled well enough. It's a duplicate of this question. - How to disable “recent files” folder in Nautilus?

comment Wubi: request not supported when Installing to a partition, 13.04
On top of being a duplicate question, Wubi installs are no longer supported from 13.04 onwards. You should consider making a proper install on a separate partition.

comment How to get rid of S.M.A.R.T. warnings that dispay at boot of system, not UBUNTU
While I understand your situation, this question is not particularly on topic on Ask Ubuntu. You can try your luck on Super User.

comment Why is pkexec preferred over gksudo for graphical applications?
Anyway, let's not keep multiple instances of the same question around. I'll close it as a duplicate of the other question for preserving sanity.

comment Why is pkexec preferred over gksudo for graphical applications?
Gksu is available in live media but is not installed (pretty much like Gparted). While there are some issues with pkexec, it is still installed by default and that probably is the reason to prefer it over gksu.

Hello again. Like I mentioned on the other question, can you move the current question content to the answer section and phrase your question like you actually have one? Thank you.

Hi MB-. Thank you for sharing this piece of info. However, our format works slightly different from a blog post. Can you phrase your question like you are in jeopardy and then move the question content to the answer section? That would be clearer for everyone who are accustomed with our site. Thank you very much.

It's the in-built screencaster for gnome-shell. Ctrl-Alt-Shift-R to activate it.

@faB no you don't use apt-get but download the source and install it from there. I haven't tested the answer for raring. So, I can't guarantee you much.
