I'm an Enterprise Web Architect specializing in Drupal-based solutions. Technical architects like me are necessary from the outset of a project to do the technical planning to ensure that the architecture is sound and sustainable. I then do the back-end development to implement the technical design. Almost all of my work is with the Drupal platform as I'm extremely comfortable with it, and have been using it since 2006.

I'm self-motivated with over fifteen (15) years experience in the informatics processing industry, notably with Web-based (on-line) content management systems (CMSes) for records and data. My skill set includes information management (IM), technical architecture and software development. I am a conscientious consultant, capable of working independently or with others to provide sustainable solutions to clients.

From my careers managing a small Web-development firm, working as an employee in the Canadian federal government and freelancing as an independent contractor, I have gained experience in Information Architecture (IA) / Data Modelling, DevOps, Back-End Development, Code Review, Software Configuration Management (SCM), Security Analysis and System Administration. In addition, I hold a software engineering certificate proving that I am fully qualified to develop Web applications, and I have been security cleared by the Canadian federal government.

I have profile pages on drupal.org and LinkedIn.

My consulting services are based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but I do remote freelance work for clients everywhere. Please visit my Services page, my Projects page and use the Contact page to get in touch.

comment Disable auto-opening nautilus window after auto-mount
On Ubuntu 14.10, you just need to install "dconf Editor" (dconf-editor). Run it once it's been added to your Launcher. Then do the same thing.

Even better if you run it from Alt-F2 so that you don't need a terminal window.

comment How do I enable or disable Apport?
I had this checked, and it still wasn't sending error reports. Looks like it has to be enabled from the command line.

Don't worry about it. I just realized that those are start-stop-daemon options, not SpiderOak options.

comment How can I start SpiderOak automatically on a headless server?
What does the "-S" option do? It tells me there's "no such option". Also, why the "--" before the "--headless"?
