How to put a picture on an existing pdf file? The page layout? If it does, you can use pdfmod to fix it. You don't need to use Draw; you can Import the PDF with Writer, and then insert your image. I've got a blog post about this over at colans.net/blog/signing-document-image-ubuntu-1210 . |

“'precise' is no longer under development” Yes, but I did that manually. When apport creates a new bug with a random crash file, how would I know where it ends up once it's uploaded? Nothing is ever reported back. Right now, I have to search through the crash file, find the title, and then search for it on Launchpad. But this doesn't even work as my bugs don't show up there. |

Is there a program that can edit PDF black/white levels? Converting a whole bunch of JPGs into a single PDF can be done with ImageMagick's "convert *.jpg out.pdf" utility. |

How can I sync Gnote notes? Sorry, I haven't tested it with this app, but I use SpiderOak for other stuff. For notes, I gave up on Ubuntu desktop apps as none of them sync with Memotoo, where they are now. I was using Tomboy + Ubuntu One, but Ubuntu One stopped offering a web interface (unlike Memotoo), and the client on my laptop stopped working (even after following one.ubuntu.com/help/faq/…). SpiderOak advantages are (1) encryption, (2) automatic file versioning, and (3) reliability (in my honest opinion). |

How does one clear the Rhythmbox music library database? Warning: Deleting this file will also delete your radio station data! If you really want to do this, back it up elsewhere first, and then re-add the radio station entries. As I believe these should be separated, I've filed a but about this. How do I recover when Compiz crashes? This got me part of the way there. Some of my workspaces/viewports were missing (only 4 of 9 showed up), and the panel and launcher were missing. I had to give it the ol' "sudo service lightdm restart" unfortunately. |
